The Evening Triage Counselor is responsible for providing crisis counseling and responsive care for youth ages 12-21. The Counselor completes a comprehensive assessment that identifies immediate needs as well as longer term developmental and/or treatment needs. This position also provides crisis counseling for families, information dissemination and referral services, as needed.
Schedule: Full time Monday- Friday 12p-8pm
Triage/ assessment and intake Assessment of substance use/abuse, problem gambling and other risk factors Individual and family crisis counseling/crisis intervention Referral readiness and referral Youth advocacy Case management Community outreach and networking with other agencies/ providers Parent group facilitation (research/science based curricula) as needed Transportation of clients, when required Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Service or related field AND 2 years' experience OR equivalent combination A valid driver's license Skills: Counseling approaches and techniques Strong time management and multi-tasking skills Excellent literacy and communication skills Knowledge of community resources Pay Rate: $23 per hour The Center for Youth Provides Equal Employment Opportunities
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field combined with 2 years of experience is required. A valid driver's license is also mandatory for the role.
