The radiation oncology department houses a state-of-the-art Varian™ TrueBeam™ Linear Accelerator and a 4D-capable CT scanner.
Together, these allow for the provision of advanced radiation therapy techniques including:
Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) Stereotactic Radio Surgery (SRS) Motion Management (Gated treatment and deep inspiration breath hold)
Performs a variety of technical procedures involving the use of high-energy radiation producing equipment. Responsible for administering, simulating and recording radiation treatments to patients of all ages as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist while maintaining confidentiality. Provides daily patient contact for monitoring the effects of radiation.
Graduate of an approved radiation therapist program.
Ability to be ARRT certified within 90 days OR ARRT ccertification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
If hired after 1989, must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, registered in Radiation Therapy.
Valid state credentialing, if applicable.
Current CPR certification.
