The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, and documenting nursing care for patients in a surgical center setting. This includes supervising patient care in the operating room and ensuring compliance with safety and accreditation standards.
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required in the state you will be working in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required Need to have strong IV skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment Previous nursing experience in at least one of the following settings is preferred, but not required: Pre-Op, Post-Op, PACU, Operating Room (OR), Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), ICU, Medical Surgical or Telemetry floors
SUMMARY Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and ASC policies and procedures. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction. Participates in direct patient care and maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment.
Must be able to assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care in an effective manner. Ability to respond to emergent situations. Demonstrates a positive, friendly, courteous and professional manner. Maintains effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and other staff. Good communication skills: oral and written. Has the ability to be organized, manage time effectively and in a cost effective manner. Ability to work independently and within a group.
Arrives to work area on time and has minimal absences. Observes assigned work schedules and hours.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions.
The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%).
Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs.
Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology.
Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time.
Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.
