  • Duties: Performs specified functions to meet the requirements approved for the Pima Heart ASC. Receive bookings, orders and other forms from primary medical assistants. Maintain SIS surgery schedule and Outlook surgery schedule while effectively communicating with vendors as needed. Manages authorizations, benefits and eligibility and effectively communicates issues with coworkers as needed to ensure workflow optimization. Communicates with RN’s making preop calls on any issues with booking. Calls patients to schedule surgery dependent upon the physician’s availability as needed. Cancels and re-schedules patients as needed. Maintains a safe workplace by following established safety protocols, reporting hazards, and participating in required safety training. When position requires travel to/from other locations, ensures vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirements. Fosters a team-oriented environment by encouraging cooperation, providing support, and resolving conflicts constructively. Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions. Follows processes and policies for the organization. Reports to work as scheduled, ready to perform duties, and promptly notifies their supervisor of any attendance issues. Adapts to changing priorities, processes, and business needs. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or accredited GED equivalent. Six (6) months of experience in healthcare setting is required If will be driving and claiming mileage reimbursement, a current valid state driver’s license and required minimum auto insurance coverage. Cardiology practice experience. is preferred One (1) year of front office experience in a healthcare setting is preferred Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
