One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.Every day you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation.

You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.

Recognizes emergency situations (including life threatening arrhythmias) and responds effectively and appropriately.

Notifies the RN/Physician with rhythm changes in a proactive approach.

Validates clinical alarms.

Anticipates patient/unit needs during emergency/code situations without requiring direction Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures.

Proficient and competentwith computerized documentation system Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff and ancillary personnel in a constructive and positive manner Self-Development: Continues education by attending non-mandatory education offerings specific to area of practice.

Maintains awareness of issues related to Cardiac care Patient Safety: Applies safety precautions and principles to patient care, including all applicable National Patient Safety Goals, and adherence to medication management policies and procedures Job Requirements Required One year Hospital patient care as a Cardiovascular Technician.

With enouph experienced CV Techs to support a trainee, applicants may be considered Basic Life Support - CPR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist license (RCIS) Preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Requirements

Requires one year of hospital patient care experience as a Cardiovascular Technician and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
