  • Category: Nonprofit - Social ServicesAs an Intake Specialist you will communicate with individuals within the community who are looking for Parsons OMH Crisis Residence services from Healy House or North Star. You will gather information, make referrals, and complete paperwork for youth and families coming into programs. You will report to the Executive Program Director of Crisis Services.

Responsibilities

Receive initial phone inquiries and written referrals Gather important information by program to determine eligibility for services requested Refer to alternate service providers as requested or needed Gather and enter information into database including referral information, demographic data, change of status Meet with clients/families to communicate relevant information about Parsons' services and to receive signatures on releases of information and intake paperwork Prepare and distribute clinical record, admission paperwork and other documents for programs Develop general knowledge of all Parsons' services to meet the needs of callers, including in emergency situations Schedule intake and admissions in collaboration with family and program Perform other tasks to support the program Requirements and Education: Associate's degree in human services field required 1+ year of experience in human services field.
