Description

This on-site, contract position offers an exceptional opportunity to work within a vibrant medical practice in the Ob/Gyn field.

As a Locum Laborist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery. You will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of maternal and neonatal care. This role not only contributes to improving patient outcomes but also allows you to engage in a variety of clinical scenarios, making every day an impactful experience.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality obstetric care for laboring patients Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans Manage complications of labor and delivery effectively Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and best practices Participate in team meetings and case reviews Educate patients and families about labor and delivery processes Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license in the state of practice Experience in obstetrics and gynecology Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care Experience working in a collaborative healthcare team Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts

Annual Volume: ~1,100 births total

Support Staff: Midwife on weekdays

Must be board-certified
