About the role

Provide comprehensive behavioral health nursing care, including assessing patient needs and developing collaborative care plans. Manage the clinical environment and coordinate nursing care for individuals and groups in an inpatient setting.

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Behavioral Health RNs for travel/contract positions in Grand Rapids, MI. We are accepting both local and traveler candidates.

Position Details

Position Name: Registered Nurse Behavioral Health Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan Specialty: Mental Health Start Date: ASAP Employment Type: Full-time, Travel, Contract, Temporary Contract Length:13 weeks Pay Rate: Range $2520 to $2664 weekly Gross pay based on a 48-hour work week (Includes non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit

Inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit/s Shifts available: Afternoons, Nights Shift timings: 8 Hours; Afternoons, 3.00 pm to 11.30 pm | 12 hours; Nights, 7.00 pm to 7.30 pm

Schedule

  • Evenings, 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 x 8-hr shifts per week, Every other weekend | 48 hrs/week - available
  • Schedule: Nights, 36 hours/week guaranteed, 3 X 12-hr shifts per week, Every other weekend | 48 hrs/week - available

Position Requirements

  • Requirements: ASN or an equivalent – Required BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred RN License for State of MI - Required BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required

Job Description

Provide all aspects of BH nursing for patients in the assigned units Assesses person’s served care needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and continually reassesses plan of care according to person’s served care needs. In collaboration with the physician, provides/coordinates nursing care to individuals and groups of person’s served. Assists in the teaching of persons’ served families, and provides milieu management. Communicates with and educates persons’ served families/significant others in discharge/after care planning needs. Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff in both individual and group settings. Responsible for documenting, reporting, and verifying all necessary information according to established policies and procedures. Responsible to monitor for and report to the physician(s) any potential risk to person’s served safety that could lead to an adverse outcome. Functions as a clinical leader, delegating/coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development. May be responsible in training direct care staff. Performs other duties or functions as assigned. May function as a charge nurse.
