Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Operating Room RN for a travel/contract positions in Lawton, OK. We are accepting both local and traveler candidates.
Position Name: Travel RN Operating Room Location: Lawton, Oklahoma Specialty: OR Nursing Start Date: ASAP Employment Type: Full-time, Travel, Contract, Temporary Contract Length: 13 weeks Pay Rate: Range $2320 to $2600 weekly Gross Pay based on a 40-hour work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Hospital Shifts available: Afternoons Shift timings: 8 Hours; Afternoons, 2.30 pm - 11.00 pm
Prepare patients for surgery by verifying medical history, allergies, and surgical consents, and explaining procedures to alleviate patient anxiety. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to infection control protocols and assisting with the proper sterilization of instruments and equipment. Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, handling supplies, and monitoring patients' vital signs and overall condition. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety throughout surgical procedures. Monitor patients post-operatively, assess recovery progress, and provide necessary information and emotional support to patients and families regarding expected outcomes and aftercare instructions. Document all aspects of patient care accurately, including observations, actions taken, and responses to interventions during the perioperative period. Respond promptly to emergencies and unexpected situations in the operating room, demonstrating critical thinking and the ability to act quickly under pressure.
Requires a minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience and a valid RN license. Mandatory certifications include AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS.
