Inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit/s Shifts available: Days Shift timings: 12 Hours; Days, 7.00 a - 7.30 p Schedule: 36 hours/week guaranteed, three shifts per week; Mon-Fri set schedule rotating every two weeks Position Requirements: Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required Recent/Current Inpatient Acute Psychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health experience: 2 years – Required Recent/Current experience and comfortable working with Children and Adult patient populations - Required Education, License, and Certification Requirements: ASN or an equivalent – Required BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred RN License for State of IN or Compact - Required CPI Certification - Preferred BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
Provide all aspects of Psychiatric nursing care in the assigned units. Coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. Provide care within Adult and Children Inpatient units, may float to other units if required Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and Develop and implement nursing care plans Admissions, Patient monitoring and charting Collaborate with other medical staff for patient care planning and administration
Requires a Registered Nurse license for Indiana or Compact with at least 2 years of experience in inpatient acute psychiatric or behavioral health nursing. An ASN is required, while a BSN and CPI certification are preferred, and BLS certification is mandatory.
