About the role

Deliver one-on-one therapeutic treatment to children under the supervision of a licensed OT. Responsibilities include documenting sessions in EMR, managing medical equipment, and communicating with families and teammates.

Oaklin Lane is hiring a COTA to join our neighborhood clinic — a clinician ready to sharpen their craft under a supervising OT who actually has time to mentor.

All clinicians—across speech, occupational, and physical therapy—are expected to incorporate sensory-based techniques into their work with the children we serve.

If you don't yet have experience with sensory integration, that's okay: we provide dedicated training and mentorship to help you build these skills and apply them confidently within your discipline.

What you’ll do Deliver one-on-one therapeutic treatment under the supervision of a licensed OT Guide kids on and around therapy equipment safely and confidently Assess and demonstrate the use of medical equipment, including prosthetic or orthotic devices and mobility aids Document sessions, assessments, and standardized testing in our EMR with accuracy and care Transport kids to and from treatment areas using mobility aids when needed Stay current on field advancements through CEUs and continuing education Communicate clearly and compassionately with kids, families, and your interdisciplinary teammates Keep detailed notes on patient history and sessions Mentor students and therapy technicians who come through your team Why this role at Oaklin Lane A space built for the work.

Who you are You are: Self-motivated and mission-driven Someone who meets kids where they are A clear, compassionate communicator Eager to grow your craft A team player You bring: Completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program Current COTA license/certification in good standing in your state of practice Sound understanding of childhood disorders and treatments Experience with the pediatric population Physical ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist children and equipment What to expect Schedule: Full-time · Monday - Thursday · 8:00AM to 6:00PM (with a lunch break) · Four-day work week · No nights or weekends Stipend for medical, vision, and dental 401(k) with employer match Paid CEUs, licensure, and certification renewal All therapy materials and supplies provided Mentorship and a clear pathway for career growth In-person at an Oaklin Lane clinic Come see what we are building The first move is the hardest one — we’ll take you through the rest.

Requirements

Requires completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program and current Texas COTA licensure. Candidates must have experience with pediatric populations and the physical ability to assist children and equipment.
