How you'll contribute

Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.

Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.

Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.

Passes instruments to physician during surgery.

Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.

Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

Performs on call services as requested.

Actively participates and ensures room turnovers are efficient and timely.

Assesses surgical schedule in coordination with RN's and management to ensure patient needs are met and all necessary equipment/ supplies are available.

Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.

Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

What we're looking for: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Certified Surgical Technology Program preferred

Minimum Work Experience

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Certified Surgical Technology Program preferred. External candidates need at least 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
