Provide intensive case management and co-facilitate structural family therapy sessions for families in need. Coordinate with external agencies and provide 24-hour crisis availability on a rotating basis.
A Child Mental Health Worker shall do one of the Following Have a bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, pre-med, theology or anthropology plus 1 year of experience in a CASSP system program Have 12 College level semester hours in humanities or social services plus 1 year of experience in a CASSP system program and be enrolled for certification by OMH as a mental health family based worker Be licensed RN plus have 1 year of experience in a CASSP system program and be enrolled for certification by OMH as a mental health family based worker. Flexible schedule, including evening hours. Valid PA driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation FBMH Worker will attend all trainings provided by the Center for Family Based Training as this will enhance the FBMH worker’s skills and understanding of the therapeutic process. Pre-approval by the Family Based Program Director or Clinical Supervisor is needed if a FBMH Worker is to not attend a training. May not be employed in another mental health program at Blair Family Solutions or elsewhere. Other Qualifications All necessary child abuse clearances (PA Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and Federal Criminal History Clearance) Valid driver’s license Auto insurance Working Conditions Work will be completed in a variety of conditions and settings, such as the client’s home.
