Overview Under the supervision of an RN provides direct patient care to patients on the pediatric mental health inpatient unit. Performs procedures for patients and provides technical services and support. Complete mental health assessments, safety rounds, vital signs, weights, and assigned area-specific procedures in a timely and accurate manner. Provide therapeutic patient support through milieu and skill-building groups, one-on-one supervision, communication, and de-escalation assistance under RN direction. Assist patients with activities of daily living, call lights, simple procedures, specimen collection, and other care needs according to standards. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment while using a holistic approach that considers each patient’s physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, and safety needs. Demonstrate reliability, initiative, teamwork, openness to feedback, and commitment to quality care, customer service, and department goals.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health related field Required.
