About the role

Provide comprehensive dental services including examinations, fillings, extractions, and prosthetics according to ADA guidelines. Manage patient records in EDR and supervise dental assistants or hygiene students in clinic and field settings.

• Duties

  • Provision of services within the Standards of Practice as set forth in the American Dental Association (ADA) guidelines for the practice of dentistry.
  • Responsible for accurate and confidential records in EDR.
  • Responsible for accurate intra oral digital radiographs in patient’s records.
  • Conduct complete examination to dental patients.
  • Prepare cavity and fill both primary and permanent teeth.
  • Remove calculus deposits and stain from surfaces of the teeth.
  • Give injections of anesthesia and extract diseased teeth.
  • Apply fluoride treatments to patient’s teeth.
  • Root canal therapy.
  • Gingival curettage, scaling and root planning and prophylaxis.
  • Perform minor surgeries.
  • Prepare and cement fixed prostheses.
  • Prepare and deliver removable prostheses.
  • Work in the outreach setting without supervision.
  • Supervise dental assistant or hygiene students while working in the clinic and field setting
  • Responsible for proper mixing of impression materials for taking impressions.
  • Responsible for accurately poured and trimmed model.
  • Responsible for diagnosis, treatment plan and case design for patients requiring
  • Responsible for preparation of dentition for removable partial frameworks and fixed prostheses

Requirements

Must be capable of performing a wide range of dental procedures from preventative care to minor surgeries. Ability to work independently in outreach settings and manage complex case designs for prostheses is required.
