Requirements

◆ Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner ◆ Active, unrestricted state license ◆ Current DEA registration ◆ Minimum 2+ years of experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations ◆ Advanced knowledge of dementia-related behavioral management ◆ Confidence managing medically complex, polypharmacy-heavy patients ◆ Ability to function independently while contributing to a collaborative care model

In this role, you will

◆ Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and longitudinal follow-up care ◆ Treat mood disorders, psychosis, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and neurocognitive decline ◆ Manage Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) using evidence-based interventions ◆ Optimize medication regimens while minimizing polypharmacy and adverse effects ◆ Conduct capacity assessments and behavioral risk evaluations ◆ Collaborate closely with nursing leadership, medical teams, and social services ◆ Provide staff education and guidance to strengthen behavioral health practices within facilities
