  • Shift: Day ShiftRothman Orthopaediics is looking to hire a full time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner) based in our Willow Grove, PA office! This position is designed to support one of our Foot & Ankle Surgeons and will require travel to our offices in Chalfont and Doylestown, PA.

  • Summary: The Physician Assistant supports the physician in evaluating and treating patients with acute orthopaedic or postoperative problems in the office environment.

  • Metrics: Increase patient satisfaction and productivity, decrease wait times, compliance with policy and procedure.

Responsibilities

Assists physician during office hours, in satellite offices, and during hospital rounds to assure timely flow of patients. Participates in all aspects of patient care. Performs hospital rounds for inpatients. Provides coverage with evaluation, treatment, and documentation of service for patients requiring orthopaedic care. Participates in and contributes to orthopaedic educational activities for hospital nursing and physical therapy staff. Assists physician during office hours including preoperative and postoperative instructions. Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding treatment instructions and medications. Dictates and documents all patient encounters. Dictates Medical Necessity letters. Completes forms for Workmans Comp. and Disability. Discusses patient care and necessary home equipment with Homecare Nurse. Prepares discharge letters and make post-op calls to referring physicians. Reviews charts preoperatively and document any pertinent information. Rotates with residents and fellow nurses and PAs covering the RI on-call schedules. Writes, faxes and/or phones in prescriptions for patients. Liaisons between RI physician and outside consulting physicians regarding patient care. Assists physician during hospital rounds with post-op patients and with research as needed. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

Qualifications

Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program Active Physician Assistant licensure and active CPR certification Pay Range: $100,000 annually to $150,000 annually + productivity bonus! Requirements

Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited Physician Assistant program and hold an active PA licensure. Active CPR certification and a Master's degree are also required.
