As a Locum Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care within our facility, ensuring that our patients receive comprehensive and compassionate treatment. You will work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team to address patient needs while adhering to the highest standards of medical practice.
Provide high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists for optimal patient outcomes Participate in daily rounds and case discussions Document patient information accurately and timely Manage patient admissions, discharges, and follow-up care Educate patients and families on health management and treatments Stay updated on current medical practices and guidelines
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Associate-level experience as a Hospitalist or in a similar role Completion of residency in Internal Medicine Valid medical license to practice in the state of Illinois Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
Schedule: 24-hour call coverage
Daily Volume: 3-5 patients
Support Staff: RNs, Techs, Lab, and MAs
Must be board-certified
