Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, pre-op appointments, and post-op follow-ups Serve as the primary point of contact between patients, surgeons, and hospital/surgical facility staff Obtain and verify insurance authorizations and pre-certifications for surgical cases Prepare and manage surgical paperwork, patient records, and consent documentation Communicate pre-operative and post-operative instructions clearly to patients and families Coordinate with anesthesia, OR staff, and other clinical teams to confirm surgical readiness Track and follow up on pending cases, referrals, and outstanding authorizations
