About the role

Provide compassionate care and medical support to seniors in an adult day center environment. Responsibilities include medication administration, blood pressure checks, and implementing individualized care plans.

CNA - Adult Day Center/Parker at Monroe - Per-diem - $30.00 hourly rate - The areas highest quality adult day services providing a warm and compassionate environment - Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm, minimum (2) shifts per month as needed with flexibility. 2025 is our third year in a row being recognized as one of the "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" by NJBiz.com [http://njbiz.com/], one of the leading business journals in the state.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) certification from the New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services, in good standing
  • High School graduate or GED required
  • Ability to deal with others in a diplomatic, tactful and confidential manner
  • Ability to read, write, and be understood in the English language
  • Flexible to work at other Parker Adult Day Centers
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season

Parker Adult Day Center (Highland Park)

Parker offers two Adult Day programs in Highland Park to address the issues of loneliness and isolation experienced by many elders who are aging at home.

Social Program employees provide varied and vibrant activities that encourage and motivate seniors to stay connected to their peers, maintain their independence, bringing meaning and enjoyment to their days.

Our Medical Program provides the added benefits of individualized medication administration, support services, personal and therapeutic care.

Parker Adult Day Center is staffed with people who are committed to meeting the needs of our program participants.

Our nursing staff and social workers create individualized care plans to provide the best possible medical care, from blood pressure checks to medication management.

Program participants benefit from peer relationships and socialization as well as interactions with our dedicated care partners.

Requirements

Must hold a valid CNA certification from the New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services and a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English and be flexible to work at different center locations.
