Position Name: Hospice Registered Nurse Location: North Andover, Massachusetts Specialty: Home Health Hospice Start Date: ASAP Employment Type: Full-time, Travel, Contract, Temporary Contract Length: 13-week contract Pay Rate: Range $2120 to $2200 Weekly Gross pay based on a 40-hour work week (Includes non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers) Mileage Reimbursement: $0.54/mile for distance covered between patient home appointments
Unit: Home Health Hospice Shifts available: Days Shift timings: 8 Hours; Days, 8a – 5p
Provide and coordinate care for assigned hospice patients in comfort of their homes. Develop and implement nursing care plans including Start of Care and admissions as assigned. Support patient recovery and ability to stay at home - enabling them to spend quality time with their loved ones and doing the activities they enjoy. Empower patients and families to reach healthcare goals by educating them on disease management. Provide Hospice nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures. Ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure. Ensure patients’ status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information is gathered and documented. Notify physicians of significant changes in status. Document and complete charting for all patient visits within 24 hours. Provide bereavement support to patient’s families as needed. Territories to cover: Middlesex County, MA and surrounding areas
Requires a Registered Nurse license with at least one year of experience in both general nursing and recent hospice care. Must have HCHB charting experience, a valid driver's license with auto insurance, and BLS certification.
