The total amount of filing will correspond to the total number of blocks cut and the number of tests (H&E and special stains) performed daily.

Enter test results and work-related information into laboratory database daily for all sectioning and tests performed (H&E and special stains).

Perform various computing tasks daily using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) to document specimen and test information, generate and update test request lists and worksheets, print labels, write standard operating procedures (SOPs), and periodically create graphic displays (using PowerPoint) of workflow steps and/or processes.

Perform quality assurance and quality control activities daily (according to established standards) to ensure the proper handling of specimens, processing of specimens, labeling of specimens, use of laboratory equipment, and quality of tests performed.

This includes documenting all quality assurance and quality control activities on related worksheets and forms.

Periodically prepare written and/or verbal scientific summaries of testing methods used and tasks completed for assigned projects and presents summaries to team members and colleagues.
