Description Job Summary

  • The APRN provides advanced clinical care to patients undergoing venous, arterial, and vascular procedures under physician supervision. This role includes performing patient assessments, assisting with procedures, developing patient management plans, monitoring outcomes, and supporting continuity of care. The APRN collaborates closely with supervising physicians and the clinical team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.

  • Responsibilities: Assist with performing venous and arterial procedures under the direction of a supervising physician. Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical exams, and reviewing medical histories. Identify short-term and long-range patient care needs and recommend appropriate clinical actions. Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans. Perform histories, examinations, formulate differential diagnoses, and document findings. Support timely patient outcomes and efficient resource utilization. Comply with standards and regulations of licensure, regulatory, and accrediting agencies. Monitor patient outcomes according to defined standards of patient care. Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives. Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education, workshops, publications, and professional memberships. Perform high-quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with colleagues, providers, patients, and external partners. Work independently while communicating and coordinating with the clinical team.

  • Abilities: Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Ability to assist with venous, arterial, and endovascular procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage patient flow efficiently. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Knowledge of clinical regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, and best practices for patient safety. Strong decision-making and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Education and
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and 1 year of surgical experience required. Endovascular experience preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in applicable state. National certification as an APRN through a recognized accrediting body. Current state licensure including prescriptive authority (certificate to prescribe). Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and assisting during procedures. Ability to lift, move, or position patients and equipment up to 25 lbs. Ability to use clinical and surgical equipment safely. Must be able to see, hear, and communicate clearly. Ability to respond quickly in emergent clinical situations.
