From prenatal screening before birth to newborn screening shortly after birth and whole genome sequencing through one’s lifetime. We are seeking an Associate Lab Technologist at our Pittsburgh state-of-the-art omics laboratory to perform clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses that contribute to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease in newborns.
Schedule is dayshift Tuesday to Saturday.
Clinical and research lab environment; exposure to blood borne pathogens; must wear protective lab gear including lab coat, gloves and completely closed footwear.
Employee may be requested to work other shifts other than daylight depending on the needs of the laboratory.
Weekend rotation may be required.
Travel is not required.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use a keyboard, type, and occasionally stand and move to other parts of the lab.
Must have manual dexterity to use lab equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $21/hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company.
