The Therapist carries clinical responsibility for patients assigned to the ACT team, including assessment, intake, evaluation and treatment.
He/she collaborates clinically with other staff and participates with them in evaluating the services and planning future goals and objectives WHAT YOU'LL DO: POSITION FUNCTIONS: Provide intake/evaluation services as member of multi-disciplinary team: Complete intake paperwork; Assessment; Collaboration with other Vera French Community Mental Health Center staff members as needed; and, Case presentation and assignment.
Provide ongoing therapy to assigned clients (and their families when appropriate): Individual; Groups; Family; and, Others.
Serve as member of multi-disciplinary team: Attend staffing and discipline meetings; Responsible for assessment of own caseload, workload and working with team/supervisor/coordinator; and, Maintain contact between treatment team, families and/or other professionals involved in client's care May participate in special areas of interest as assigned by ACT Team Lead: Consultation and Education Special interest groups including assertive training, family therapy, play therapy, individual services, etc.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with community agencies and organizations WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Education and Clinical Experience: Master's degree with licensure in the State of Iowa in Social Work and/or Counseling.
LMHC or LISW licensure in State of Iowa is preferred.
Prefer previous experience in the field of mental health, including working with individuals, families and groups.

A Master's degree and licensure in Social Work or Counseling in the State of Iowa are required. Previous experience in mental health working with individuals, families, and groups is preferred.
