Review and verify medication orders to ensure accuracy, safety, and appropriateness before dispensing Evaluate patient medication profiles to support optimal therapeutic outcomes Provide medication counseling, drug information, and clinical consultation to patients and care teams Partner with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff to promote safe, effective medication use Support daily pharmacy operations, including medication distribution and workflow coordination Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational pharmacy regulations Maintain accurate medication and controlled substance records Help uphold quality improvement initiatives that enhance pharmacy services and patient safety Provide guidance and oversight to pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff as needed
Education: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Pharmacy. License(s)/Certification(s): Obtain Iowa Pharmacist License within 90 days of Hire
