Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional patient care during invasive cardiac procedures. Promote and restore cardiovascular health while providing compassionate, patient- and family-centered support. Serve as the primary assistant to the cardiologist at the sterile table during procedures. Perform circulating and patient monitoring responsibilities to ensure safe and efficient procedural care. Maintain a high standard of clinical excellence in a fast-paced, team-oriented Cath Lab environment.
Education: Healthcare professional with appropriate education commensurate with clinical credential (i.e., Paramedic, LPN, etc.) required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred Preferred EMT-P CCP Experience: 1 year of Critical Care experience in ICU or the Emergency Department preferred. Prefer one (1) year of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency in Critical Care. License(s)/Certification(s): Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Completion of one hour of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or Cardiac Interventional (CI) or Vascular Interventional (VI) through ARRT preferred. Knowledge in sterile technique and ability to demonstrate The Association of Peri-Operative Registered Nurses (AORN) sterile technique guidelines.
