About the role

The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing evaluations and developing individualized plans of care for pediatric patients and their families. They provide skilled interventions and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to optimize functional outcomes.

Job Overview

Fairview Range is hiring a Physical Therapist for our Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation Services department in Hibbing, MN.

This position is ideal for someone who is motivated by meaningful, one-on-one work with children and families in a collaborative, supportive care setting.

We offer individulaized, family-centered therapy services that support children from infancy through adolescence.

Our pediatric rehab team works closely with families, pediatricians, and specialists to support optimal development and functional outcomes in a welcoming outpatient setting.

  • This position will be working 48 hours per two weeks. The shift length is 8 hours on the day shift, with rotating weekends.

  • Rehab: Fairview Range Rehabilitation Services provides comprehensive adult and pediatric physical, occupational and speech therapy services as well as adult cardiac and pulmonary rehab. Physical therapy services include specialty programs, such as vestibular rehab, sports medicine/strength and conditioning, orthopedics, TMD, men’s and women’s pelvic health/incontinence, cancer rehab, lymph-edema therapy, neuro rehab, chronic pain, dry needling, blood flow restriction therapy, tool-assisted and myofascial release, pediatric rehab and plagiocephaly and torticollis treatment including cranial scanning. Occupational therapy specialty services include wheelchair assessments, upper extremity and hand therapy, cognitive therapy, cancer rehab and pediatric rehab. Speech therapy specialty services include articulation and phonological disorders, apraxia, cognitive therapy, dysarthria, feeding (picky eaters, program growing to include birth to 2), voice therapy, swallowing and MBSS.   • Therapist, you will be responsible for: Partnering with the patient and family, while performing the Evaluation/Re-evaluation. Developing an individualized plan of care through collaboration with the patient and their families. Partnering with patients and their families to provide skilled intervention. Implementing and modifying the plan of care, based on reassessment and patient response. Completing documentation in a timely manner per department standards. Coordinating care and communicating optimally with interdisciplinary team, for all aspects of patient care.

  • Qualifications: Physical Therapy registration/licensure in the state of Minnesota, or temporary MN licensure. None to 1 year experience in Physical Therapy. BLS

Preferred Qualifications

1+ year of pediatric outpatient or early intervention experience. Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Desire to improve skills and further education in various specialty areas of physical therapy Familiarity or interest in treating torticollis/plagiocephaly, gait abnormalities, and pediatric orthopedic conditions

Compensation Disclaimer

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE).

The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Physical Therapy license in Minnesota and BLS certification, with 0-1 year of experience. A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy and experience in pediatric outpatient or early intervention settings are preferred.
