• ABRET Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) must be held or obtained within 18 months from date of hire.
• High School Graduate.
• A minimum of one year experience performing intraoperative monitoring procedures in an OR environment and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in routine END procedures preferred. Relevant experience within neurodiagnostic field can be substituted for OR environment experience and can be evaluated on an individual basis at the discretion of department director and physician leader.
Lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; use patient handling equipment for lifts over 35 pounds or when patients cannot assist, with support from another associate.
Unique patient lifting/movement situations assessed case-by-case.
Perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
Work environment may contain potential for exposure to blood and body fluids or other unpleasant fumes or hazards and, therefore, must have ability to work in that type of environment and wear protective clothing as necessary.
Potential exposure to life-threatening diseases and hazardous materials.
Exposure to sharp instruments (EMG needles).
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Exposed to normal office environment.
