Gallaher Signature Living is seeking a full-time Medication Technician to join our team. The Medication Technician (Med-Tech) is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely assistance with self-administration of medications to residents in accordance with California Title 22 regulations, physician orders, and community policies. This role supports residents in maintaining independence while ensuring the highest standards of care, discretion, and service excellence in a refined, active adult living environment.
The Med-Tech works collaboratively with the Wellness team to promote resident well-being, dignity, and safety while delivering care with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail expected in a high-end community.
$22.00-$23.75/hour
Key Responsibilities
In accordance with California Title 22 (RCFE) regulations and community standards, the Med-Tech will:
Assist residents with self-administration of medications as permitted under California Title 22, Division 6, including oral, topical, inhaled, and other approved medications.
Follow physician orders, Medication Administration Records (MARs), and community policies precisely.
Observe, document, and report any medication refusals, errors, adverse reactions, or changes in resident condition immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain secure storage, proper labeling, and accurate documentation of all medications.
Ensure medications are administered at the correct time, dosage, and route in accordance with regulations.
Observe residents for changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional condition and report concerns promptly.
Provide respectful assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as assigned, consistent with resident service plans.
Support resident independence while ensuring safety and comfort.
Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies, following established protocols.
Regulatory & Documentation Compliance
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with Title 22, HIPAA, and community standards.
Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes as required.
Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness policies.
Deliver care with discretion, professionalism, and a hospitality-driven mindset appropriate to a luxury active adult community.
Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Uphold the community’s standards of appearance, communication, and service.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, pull, and transfer up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout a shift in residential and common-area settings.
Engagement with residents, families, and team members in both formal and informal environments, including care settings, dining venues, and community events.

Requires a high school diploma, current First Aid and CPR certification, and completion of Title 22 medication training. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background checks and health screenings.
