Provide all aspects of Psychiatric nursing care in the assigned units. Coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. Provide care within Adult and Children Inpatient units, may float to other units if required Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and Develop and implement nursing care plans Admissions, Patient monitoring and charting Comfortable with paper charting for orders and meds Collaborate with other medical staff for patient care planning and administration
Requires a Registered Nurse license for Michigan with at least 2 years of experience in inpatient acute psychiatric or behavioral health nursing. An ASN is required, while a BSN and HWC certification are preferred.
