We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our full-time outpatient clinical team. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Essential Job Functions Triage patient calls, assess clinical concerns, and provide appropriate guidance or follow-up. Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Collaborate with physicians and the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care. Room patients, obtain vital signs, document the reason for the visit, and prepare patients for examination. Assist physicians with daily clinical care and in-office procedures, maintaining sterile technique when preparing surgical trays. Perform clinical duties including blood draws, Foley and suprapubic catheter insertion/removal, and removal of drains, staples, and sutures, within scope of practice. Review and update patient medical, surgical, family, and social histories, medications, and other clinical documentation. Process prescription refills and communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, referring providers, and other healthcare professionals as needed. Educate patients on treatments, procedures, and follow-up care. Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure appropriate patient follow-up appointments are scheduled. Review charts for accuracy and completion at the end of each clinic day. Adhere to HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and universal precautions while maintaining required licensure and continuing education. Provide cross-coverage for nursing staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Strong clinical assessment and triage abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited LPN program. Current, active Florida LPN license in good standing. Current CPR certification. Previous clinical experience in a physician office or hospital setting required; urology experience preferred.
