About the role

Provide recovery coaching, mentoring, and support to individuals struggling with substance misuse at outpatient facilities. Act as a liaison and resource broker while collaborating with clinical staff to track recoveree progress.

Liberation Programs is hiring a Recovery Coach to provide recovery coaching services to Recoverees on-site at our Outpatient Treatment Facilities in Bridgeport and Stamford, CT.

The Recovery Coach will serve as a source of hope and support, including as a motivator, recovery resource broker, mentor and liaison to individuals struggling with opioid misuse or other substance misuse, including alcohol. The ideal person will be kind, enthusiastic, extremely well organized and passionate about working closely with people in recovery. A valid driver's license, insurance and reliable vehicle required.

Qualifications

  • Recover Coach Certification strongly preferred
  • Certificate of Completion from the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy required
  • Certificate of Completion from the CCAR Training in Ethical Considerations
  • Ability to travel to and from our Bridgeport and Stamford Location
  • Reliable and ability to be flexible depending on each clinic's needs
  • Understanding of medication-assisted recovery, treatment and best practices
  • Experienced at building effective coach-Recoveree relationships
  • Ability to be an effective listener
  • Ability to communicate and work in conjunction with clinical staff regarding recoveree needs/progress

Liberation Programs is one of Fairfield County's leading behavioral health organizations specializing in treatment for all types of substance use disorders including alcohol, opiates, depressants and stimulants. Our goal is to help individuals and families overcome addiction in order to restore their lives and ultimately strengthen our communities. Liberation provides services for youth, adults and families that include two inpatient treatment programs, outpatient and intensive outpatient services, health education for older adults and people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses, treatment and resources for adolescents and their families, education and prevention efforts in the community, and permanent supportive housing for families. In operation since 1971, the agency has sites in Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport and served more than 2,400 individuals in our last fiscal year.
