About the role

Perform various perinatal ultrasounds and fetal assessments while documenting findings in the GE Viewpoint system. Assist physicians with specialized procedures and communicate findings clearly to providers.

Description High Risk Obstetrical Consultants is seeking a full-time sonographer for our Johnson City office with share in travel to our satellite office.

The description below is a general statement of required duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis.

It does not exclude other duties as assigned.

Preparing of diagnostic equipment prior to patient appointment.

Perform perinatal ultrasounds including fetal anatomical surveys, assess fetal well-being, doppler studies, bio-physical profile, and first trimester screens.

May also assist physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS in appropriate setting.

Position patient to obtain highest-quality images and ensure capture of appropriate information.

Ability to identify potential abnormalities detected.

Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.

Monitors, records, and communicates as appropriate utilizing GE Viewpoint system.

Communicates ultrasound findings to providers in a clear and concise manner.

Documentation of findings in patient’s chart within ultrasound system.

Adherence to all policies and procedures including but not limited to OSHA, HIPAA, attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and other applicable policies.

Requirements

Physical Demands: Job requires sitting, standing, frequent walking, lifting, bending, use of hands and arms to control ultrasound probe.

Job Requirements: OB experience, preferably high-risk OB ARDMS Registered in OB/GYN Graduate of accredited Ultrasound Program
