Description Medical Assistant – University Urogynecology Full-Time | Knoxville, TN

Join a Team That Makes a Difference in Women's Health University Physicians' Association (UPA) is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our University Urogynecology team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you'll work closely with physicians and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and create a positive experience for every patient. What You'll Do Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Assist physicians with direct patient care and clinical procedures Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment management Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications for imaging studies, including MRIs and CT scans Communicate test results and follow-up information to patients Perform phlebotomy and other clinical support duties Accurately document and process physician orders Build positive, professional relationships with patients, families, providers, and staff Help ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience from check-in to follow-up care

Qualifications
