Perform high-quality X-ray, CT, and C-Arm procedures while adhering to safety and ALARA principles. Manage clerical tasks including patient scheduling, EMR entry, and image transmission via PACS and Power Share.
Perform and/or assist with Radiographic (X-ray), CT, and C-Arm procedures while ensuring high-quality imaging and adherence to ALARA principles Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the safety, privacy, and dignity of all patients and staff Perform daily X-ray and CT imaging exams Participate in an on-call rotation (including weekends and holidays) for X-ray and CT once CT-registered Competitive on-call compensation of $5.00/hour Complete clerical and workflow tasks including scheduling patients, faxing results, scanning technologist documentation, completing exams in PACS, sending images via Power Share, and entering orders into the EMR Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) lines, demonstrating proficiency in IV insertion techniques Utilize C-arm fluoroscopy for pain management procedures and intraoperative imaging Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure diagnostic standards are met Complete “Screening Consent” forms for every CT and MRI patient Maintain cleanliness of scanners and related equipment in accordance with infection control policies and procedures Assist MRI staff as needed while maintaining strict MRI safety practices for patients and staff Equipment Used: Siemens DR Fixed and Portable X-ray Systems Siemens 64-Slice CT Scanner GE C-Arm GE Signa MRI 3D Siemens Mammography Canon Ultrasound Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support MMH operations. CT certification ARRT (CT) preferred but not required at time of hire BLS certification in good standing PREFERRED CT certification ARRT (CT) preferred but not required at time of hire Important: Candidates who are not currently ARRT-registered in CT will be required to obtain CT certification within a reasonable timeframe after hire. MMH provides on-site cross-training to support this process. Following CT certification, technologists will also have the opportunity—and are strongly encouraged—to cross-train into MRI. While being “rural” we are equipped for any situation. It is a model rural hospital with 1 operating room, surgical procedure room, 4 bay emergency room, and radiology including 64-slice CT scanner and mammography, MRI, ECHO, and Nuclear Medicine, along with other ancillary services. The hospital is co-located with a family practice clinic and retail pharmacy services. Other services include chemotherapy, general & orthopedic surgery, podiatry, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, progressive rehab services, and wound care. MMH operates a full-time EMS service and maintains a 24/7 AirLife Helicopter base. THE COMMUNITY: Holyoke is home to the Holyoke Dragons and is truly a “City of Pride and Progress.” Holyoke offers: From different coffee shops to different ethnic flavors, to a quick bite, the sweet small town of Holyoke has a handful of different restaurant options to choose from.
