About the role

Perform patient care activities focusing on health promotion and the management of acute and chronic diseases. Collaborate with physicians to conduct diagnostic procedures, order laboratory studies, and provide direct treatment and physical exams.

Overview Performs a variety of patient care activities in accordance with established standards and practice. Emphasizes health promotion as well as acute and chronic disease management. Works in conjunction with physicians to provide medical services to patients; collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations and provides direct patient care services, including physical exams, diagnoses and treatment of patients, etc.

Responsibilities

Works in conjunction with physicians to provide medical services to patients; collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations and provides direct patient care services, including physical exams, diagnoses and treatment of patients, etc.

Qualifications

Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s in Nursing Required or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board Required Work Experience Minimum 2-3 years of clinical NP experience preferred. Previous experience in ICU or critical care settings preferred Previous wound care experience highly desirable for both acute and chronic as well as surgical and non-surgical wounds Licenses and Certifications ACLS Upon Hire Required and CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire Required and PA - Physician Assistant Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia. Updated NCCPA for PA’s Upon Hire Required or ACNP - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP, FNP, WHNP) Upon Hire Required Business
