Shift hours

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of mri units, radiology supported computer systems and cd burners.
• Performs mri procedures and quality control as defined by departmental protocols.
• Performs mri safety screenings for patients and research implanted devices prior to scanning.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in acr and state licenses. Complies with joint commission regulations.
• Completes all technical assigned imaging and non-Imaging procedures in the designated scheduled times.
• Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
• Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.
• Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtains appropriate consent.
• Verifies insurance pre-Authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patient.
• Maintains patient confidentially.
• Uses 2 patient identifiers at all times.
• Demonstrates ability to obtain iv access.
• Ability to assess patient for adverse reactions and/Or changes in patient status.
• Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of contrast media injectors.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to perform i-Stat testing and accurate calculation of gfr following established departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Mr technologist—experience required.
• Arrt registered technologist required.
• Arrt advanced mri certification required within 2 years of hire.
• Cerner training required.
• Excellent customer service/Telephone skills required.
• Flexibility in hours is required.
• Flexibility to work at alternate locations as needed.
• Ability to work independently.

Education requirements

• Completion of arrt registry in radiologic technology required (Two-Year accredited program).
• Completion of arrt registry in mri required (Achieved within two years of hire).
• State licensure on radiation protection is required.
• Completion of formal and/Or on the job training on cross sectional anatomy.
• An associate’s degree is required; candidates are required to attain an

• Associates of science degree (Can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the education agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.
• Certification in cpr.
• Yearly peeps certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.

Special requirements

• State licensure on radiation protection is required.
• The successful completion of the mri registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist, who is recruited and non-Certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam.
• Completion of iv training course.

The pay is $37.38 to $51.40 based on experience.

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
