A Day in the Life of an LPN - Pulmonology Clinic This role involves comprehensive patient care coordination within a physician's clinic, where the LPN is essential in assessing and preparing patients for their visits, ensuring that all interactions facilitate optimal care and treatment adherence. Daily responsibilities include assisting physicians during procedures, administering medications, and managing medical equipment effectively. The LPN also plays a pivotal role in clinic organization, from managing documentation in medical records to ensuring supplies and equipment are well-stocked and maintained. Collaboration with doctors, reception staff, and other nursing team members is key to maintaining efficient patient flow and scheduling. Challenges such as managing high-stress situations, adapting to varied patient needs, and multitasking efficiently are common, requiring robust problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Requirements

Requires a current LPN license for the State of Minnesota and American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire. One year of clinical nursing experience is required for coordinator or specialist roles.
