How you’ll contribute

A Phlebotomist who excels in this role

Collects specimens per state licensure, greets customers, and works collaboratively with other departments.

Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.

Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.

Maintains equipment and medical supplies.

Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.

What we’re looking for • License/Certification

Must hold a current Laboratory Assistant (Phlebotomy) License issued by the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH). Candidates with a pending license status may be considered for hire; an active license must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. All required training and certification fees related to a Laboratory Assistant licensure are the responsibility of the applicant.

This position requires an additional Point-of-Care (POC) Analyst License. Required training and certification must be completed within six (6) months of hire. Associated POC training and certification fees will be covered by the hospital.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Education: High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required.

Requirements
