As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will be at the forefront of patient care, managing a diverse range of medical emergencies while collaborating with a skilled team of healthcare professionals. Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages Perform rapid assessment and triage of incoming patients Manage patient treatment plans and collaborate with healthcare teams Document patient interactions and treatment in electronic medical records Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans Participate in ongoing education and professional development Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards Assist in training and mentoring medical staff and residents
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Current board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine Valid medical license to practice in the state of New York Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations Commitment to providing compassionate patient care Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Schedule: 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
Annual Volume: 20K patients
Mostly low-acuity cases
Support Staff: Nurses
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
