Support Services of Virginia is recruiting Sponsored Residential Providers throughout Hampton Roads and the Eastern Shore to provide long-term residential support for one or two adults with intellectual disabilities. Providers create a stable home environment that promotes independence, community involvement, and meaningful daily living.
Homes with children under 12 years of age are generally not preferred.
Applicants who do not yet meet the experience requirement may be eligible to work as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with SSVA to gain qualifying experience.
Relatives of individuals receiving sponsored services may apply, although additional qualification requirements apply.
Sponsored Residential Providers serve as independent subcontractors partnered with Support Services of Virginia and are not considered employees.
Providers support the individual's daily living needs while encouraging personal growth, independence, and community participation. SSVA works to match individuals with provider homes based on shared interests, lifestyles, and compatibility.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED and six months of experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. Candidates must be active in their local community and comfortable using electronic systems.
