Responsible for delivering safe patient care and coordinating shift operations on the nursing unit. Provides guidance to LPNs and CNAs while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.

Gives guidance and direction to personnel - LPNs, CNAs and non-licensed personnel, provides direct patient care, assists in new staff orientation and collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
Assist in coordinating the operation of a shift on the nursing unit.
This should be performed under the direction of the Nurse Manager and in accordance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.
Education - Associate Degree in Nursing minimum; or Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing
Licenses/Certificates - Registered and Licensed by the State of Georgia. Certification in CPR (within 60 days of hire) and ACLS (and PALS if Charge Nurse) current or enrolls in class and completes within 90 days.
