About the role

Perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures and collect patient specimens according to test requirements. Responsible for ordering tests into computer systems and documenting the receipt of laboratory specimens.

Hourly Pay Range

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do

Perform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor/Manager/Director

Responsible for ordering tests into the Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and documenting Lab receipt of specimens

Collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and in a manner which is appropriate for the age and/or specific patient population served

Collect blood samples for specific tests ensuring volume is adequate and correct tubes are utilized

What you will need

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Certification: CPR-BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider required from the AHA and PBT (ASCP) certification preferred
  • Experience: Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred
