PrimaryOne Health is currently seeking Medical Assistant Apprentices for our Columbus health centers.

Job

Responsibilities: Prepares patients for provider and obtains a full set of vitals. Assists provider with procedures, exams, and patient education. Performs phlebotomy, laboratory procedures, injections, and documents into EMR system. Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patients. Cleans, prepares, and sterilizes medical instruments. Observes and follows required safety protocols for general safety and employees patients; Answers telephones, schedules patients, processes referrals and supports care team members. Moderate travel required. Must completed Medical Assistant program (four days online; one day in-person). Other duties or special projects as assigned. Successful candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. BLS certified for a health center provider (must be completed prior to start date). Requirements

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be BLS certified prior to their start date. Completion of a specific Medical Assistant program is required.
