About the role

The Medical Assistant is responsible for greeting patients, measuring vital signs, and preparing examination areas according to OSHA standards. They also handle patient scheduling, telephone screening, and maintain accurate clinical documentation under physician guidance.

Exciting opportunity to join our growing team in West Boca! We are a midsized Pediatric Multispecialty Center seeking a full time Medical Assistant, Monday-Friday.

Greets, receives, and prepares patients for appointments/procedures; conducts interviews with patients, measures vital signs, and records information.

Maintains clean and neat examination areas in a manner consistent with OSHA standards.

Receives and screens telephone calls.

Schedules patient appointments.

Coordinates patient flow.

Prepares timely, legible, and complete documentation of patient care under physician guidance as provided by law, regulation, and established policy

Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistants who recently graduated or are approaching graduation must obtain MA certification within 60 days of employment
  • Experience working in a pediatric setting strongly preferred
  • Cardiology experience a plus (but not required)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and authorization processes
  • Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

Requirements
