Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) - Medina/Lodi Hospital Medicine PRN II
Schedule: 7:30am-5:30pm
Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with a physician according to a standard care arrangement and specialty certification. Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions, including the delivery of acute care services. PA: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and or specialty medical care (the practice of medicine) in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions the collaboration agreement of a Physician, (as per O.R.C. 4730) performs complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages to establish and record patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patients and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. PA's are privileged by the Board of Governors. PA's in this role provide advanced care to patients with in any setting in which patients require complex, acute, critical and chronic health conditions. Practice in a setting that requires complex monitoring and therapies and high intensity medical/surgical interventions and/or continuous vigilance within the range of high-acuity care.
Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking a PA or APRN to work in Hospital Medicine at Medina and Lodi Hospitals. Post-graduate experience is required for a PRN position.
Education:
Effective 05/01/2014: MSN required upon hire or within 3 years of hire for external hires and internal hires moving from a non-APRN licensed role to an APRN licensed role.
Graduate of an accredited ARPN training program.
PA:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an A.R.C.-approved Physician Assistant Program.
Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies and/or applicable state license through the State Medical Board for certificate to practice.
APRN: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in applicable state.
National certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by nationally accredited organization recognized by state Board of Nursing, current licensure by applicable state Board of Nursing, (including certificate to prescribe if applicable).
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (AHA); or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) may be required based upon work setting.
PA: Current certification as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA (or successor).
Licensed by the State Medical Board OF OHIO.
Must have a Physician Supervision Agreement and/or signed addendum to Physician Supervision Agreement.
Must be privileged by CCF's Credentialing Board.
If candidate has held a license to prescribe within another jurisdiction and needs to obtain a Master's degree in order to apply for CT prescribe from applicable state, the candidate will be subject for review for eligibility for hiring within our system.

APRN/PA: Excellent analytical and decision making skills are required.
