AM - 7:15 PM + Every 3rd Weekend & Every other holidayJoin our team as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)! Our 8-bed specialty unit provides advanced care for acutely ill post-operative patients, managing complex conditions with advanced therapies and technologies including intra-aortic balloon pumps, CRRT, and vasoactive medication infusions. SICU nurses receive extensive training in the recovery and ongoing care of immediate post-operative open-heart patients while caring for a diverse patient population including trauma, thoracic, vascular, and abdominal surgery cases. Responsibilities

Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care. Consults appropriate resources within the hospital to provide specialized education. Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately. Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient’s care. Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma from an RN program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must possess and maintain ACLS *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.

Requirements

Requires a diploma from an RN program and current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
