NorthStar Behavioral Health is seeking a collaborative and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (Night Shift) to join our dynamic residential team, ensuring high-quality patient care for clients in our residential units. We rely on our Behavioral Health Technicians to provide direct care, supervision, and support to our clients during a critical time in their lives.

Competitive Pay – This role pays $19.57 per hour to start, plus a $0.50 shift differential for hours worked between the hours of 11:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

What We Are Seeking for this Role

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Medical Assistant (MA) certification and/or an Associate’s Degree is preferred.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Tuberculosis Skin Test and Influenza (Flu) vaccination within the past year;

Ability to work a 12-hour shift.

Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 15 lbs.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
  • Plan and lead individual and group therapeutic recreation activities.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and patient information.
  • Monitor patient activities and behaviors, promptly reporting any changes to the assigned medical staff.
  • Provide crisis intervention and employ supportive communication techniques.

Requirements
