Our Wellness Clinic is a core function of San Francisco Community Health Center. In 2015, we became the first new Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in San Francisco in 40 years, enabling us to expand our capacity and provide full primary care services. The Wellness Clinic works in close collaboration with the Street Medicine team, Trans Thrive, Taimon Booton Navigation Center, and our other sites to coordinate primary care for patients accessing SFCHC services in multiple settings
Medical Assistant will perform procedures (see responsibilities) under the Chief Medical Officer’s oversight, ensure quality and efficient clinic service delivery from patient intake to visit completion, and build the clinic’s administrative capacity to serve its intended population. Medical Assistant job duties are done within the clinic setting, as well as non-traditional setting, “beyond the 4-walls” of the clinic (ie. on the streets, encampments, SROs, and patients’ homes, etc.) This role will protect and steward the integrity and reputation of San Francisco Community Health Center and its mission.
